Deeeeep in the $1000 dollar rebuy at full tilt poker need some reinforcements 5/11/2010. Thanks.
After an extended absence I am so happy to return to friends in my poker curious family. Would just like to give a heartfelt thanks to all those who help me along the way 2010 has been a better year than last and I hope that it continues in such a manner. Hope to play you all in the Full Tilt tourney on sunday and as always good luck to all and I hope your year is going as well as mine.
Worst year alive to date come and gone. I am thankful to be alive that is about as much good I can muster after this last year. Good luck this year we all need it. Happy New Year to all and to all a goodnight.
So i went to ChipMeUP.com to see what it was like and I am looking around and I see this message board and I see people asking for people to stake so I throw my name out there.
Well this guy stakes me $13.00 on Full Tilt and I play 2 $3.30 KO tourneys and the ferguson which was razz and I think that I am an accomplished razz player. Now this guy is telling everyone that I stole his money and that I am never allowed to be on the site anymore. What an experience I am not a thief. I have never stolen and always lived my life in a way that my children could respect me. Of course I was sucked out on in those tourneys. I told the guy that I would give him 60-40 split of my winnings but I havent won anything yet so 60% of nothing is still nothing I am assuming. But I sent him a message through the ChipMeUp site and told him that I would pay him back the $13.00 when I can deposit on the site. I have never deposited on
Full Tilt I am in the money alot of times when I play freerolls, so that is how I make my poker money. I am not a rich person and I live a modest life focusing on my children and the things that they need. I still have 6.00 from the guys money so I am patiently trying to make something out of this. So please people do not think of me as a thief I am just a guy trying to play a little poker that made a mistake. I will never be using anything like that to build my bankroll it made me feel like a complete idiot being called names at every table that I was at.
I felt like a complete fool for being treated the way I was last night. And I am sorry if this reflected negatively to my friends and my Poker Curious Community.
I would like to thank you all for the wonderful things that you do. The contests, the freerolls, and all the wonderful advice that I read from my friends here at Poker Curious. I am very thankful to be apart of a community such as this were ideas and knowledge can be shared among friends. It was an honor to be mentioned in Rex's blog contest and it is much appreciated. Anywho just wanted to say thanks for all that everyone does to help my game as much as possible god knows i need it...lol Peace and as always good luck at the tables.
Well my other post was deleted for some reason so I guess Ill do this again.
Since I myself basically only play poker at Full Tilt Poker I have ran into the worst of the worst players out there, the donks of all donks, that being said I had the pleasure of playing in a freeroll on Thanksgiving and lucky me I survived the massive amount of Count Donkula's out there all the way to 6th place, paid $6. Not to bad seeing as how I have done this several times and have never deposited on Full Tilt. The keys in me being able to do this is what I would like to contribute and maybe pass along a little info.
Number 5:
Learning all the major poker games. Being solid in all poker forms is a huge advantage when playing HORSE or 7 game mainly because most people are weak in one area usually razz or or hi/lo portions, this will allow you to steal pots alot easier when you know what your doing most of the time.
Number 4:
Taking notes is a major part of my game. You will always run into this person again and most people stick to a gameplan, also if you run into them again and their game has changed you will have that much more information on them.
Number 3:
Learn to take time. It is ok to take every second that you have available because it does a couple of things when you think about it. It not only eats up time and allows other players to make mistakes and fall out, it gives you an option of disguising your hand strength and allows you the opportunity to think about what you are doing before you act on it.
Number 2:
Master check raising!! There is nothing sweeter online than flopping flat out solid nuts with 5 other aggressive people in front of you and you check. Countless money can be made just by applying numbers 2 and 3 together. Just be careful because as I have stated before there are calling stations that will draw out on you if your hand is not completely solid.
Number 1:
Playing in freerolls. This is my favorite number because If you use numbers 2-5 in number 1 you
have a great chance at being number 1..ha ha. Playing in freerolls allows you to hone your skills and makes you play solid and tight because to be honest there really are alot of bad players that just attack a freeroll and hope they get lucky, I mean really who reading this hasn't seen the allin wing and a prayer 23 off suit on the first hand with 7 callers just as bad. 9 times out of 10 all those chips won in the first hand will be in someone elses stack before the hour is up.
Playing tight, studying the way the people around you are playing, and taking your time will allow you to play the right way, and become a good solid poker nut.
Thank you for reading this I hope that I have helped someone or maybe changed someone's mind that plays like a total donk. Oh and good luck to you at the tables.
So Im playing in the Poker Curious freeroll on Full Tilt minding my own business with a good chip stack of 4300 chips. Well I get a pair of nines in middle position so I raise the blind to 360 and was called by this massive chip stack that wasnt near a blind either. So the flop came 8a8 and i checked. Dude bet 250 and Im thinking to myself that less than the original raise that I brought so I called. Turn was paint so Im thinking to myself I need to represent what just came out there and I raise to 500 I shoulda got outta this hand along time ago but the point is this donkapotamus called my out of position raise with K8 off suit. Any who ends the hand with quad 8's like that wasnt bad enough getting beat with the obvious trip 8's on the fly they throw one more out there just for good measure. This is why im getting disguted with poker its not the cards its the people that plays with no clue and is rewarded for it. I do not care what Full Tilt has told me on numerous occasions that their random number generator is random it can't be. Noone is that lucky.
But i digress people that play garbage are rewarded online these people would not last 20 mins in a live event playing this nonsense. Im getting Christmas money for Christmas from my parents I think I shall deposit money in my account and see if it because that I have never deposited there. All the money that I had in my account came from freeroll winnings. I am a very good player and hope that the crazys dont have the cashflow to play in the bigger stakes. If someone is already playing middle stakes games and could give me some advice that would be incredible. I think its cool that I played almost 4 years on Full Tilt and never deposited a dime and played for money almost everyday. But alas all that talking about myself must bring me to reality because I just lost my bankroll this morning to that infamous 23 off that cracked my aces.
Well anywho will be back to playing money games around the new year hope next year is better than this one. And boy am I glad to have somewhere that I can speak my mind about poker this is another way to calm down. Good Luck at the tables I will see you back there soon. Peace
