Oakland Raider's assistant coach Randy Hanson recently told a Napa Valley Police Department detective that he was struck by head coach Tom Cable and suffered a broken jaw during the team’s training camp.

Now, the heat is on Cable as a possible arrest could take place for the alleged assault, and the NFL could suspend the coach for conduct that violates the league’s personal conduct policy.

Why is this just coming out now after the season begins? Is Hansom deliberately sabotaging the Raider's chances for a better season, or is he after the job? Really bad karma here. However, the Napa Valley Police were not willing to make any specific comments as to WHY. And then you have an a Raiders assistant coach, speaking on the condition of anonymity, telling Yahoo’s Jason Cole that: “Everybody is trying to figure out who’s going to take over if Tom isn’t here. John Marshall has a lot of experience, he’s probably the guy. But it’s nuts. It’s crazy when you start to really think about it.”

So who is welding the knife to Tom Cable's back here?

Then why sabotage one that seems to be doing his job. I still think something stinks here.

That team and organization has been dysfunctional and unsuccessful for quite a few years. i think it's more than any one coach can fix.
