I think I played this hand strongly and a chaser wins again.  Open ended straights are a big favorite for chasers.  X

After three tries at the update today, I notice Foolstilt is freezing on big hands. It froze three times today when I had AA in the BB, KK in the SB and a flopped straight. The update may be the problem because I checked my network and my status was excellent at the time and the internet was working fine. Anyone else having problems after their update? X

My daughter gave me her old laptop and since I am a computer tech, I decided to keep it and fix it up. She was going to throw it out.  I researched replacing the LCD screen and the prices made me think twice about replacing it.  I can get a cheapo for the price of the screen.  So until I get more mullah I will keep using this old/new to me laptop.  What kind of computer are you using?  X

I think I am finally out of my slump, funk, whatever.  I entered a private tourney for another forum and faired well up until a suckout got me down to $300.  I was patient and after the break I won a three way pot with AK suited.  A few more hands and I was back at average with 4K.  Made the final table as the chip leader with 55K and went completely card dead.  Thanks to the winner I got second.  He was KO'ing players like Mahumid Ali.  LOL.  Glad to have something going into my bank instead of out.  Freerolling is a great bank booster.  X

I read a blog by a newbie this morning and decided to address the question about private tourneys with or without passwords.

Many poker sites offer freerolls with no strings attached and some offer a private freeroll here and there, that you have to know the password to be included in the tourney.  Most forums like Poker Curious are hosting these private tourneys to give back to their members.  Now the word private means just that.  The password is for members that attribute something or sometimes nothing to a site/forum in return for a chance to make a bankroll and meet new people.

I will describe Fulltilt Freerolls since this is the primary site I play.

FullTilt Freerolls come in two types, those that are open to the public, and private freerolls that are only open to those who have the password. Most of the private tourneys have information in the lobby on how to get the password via web link or some have the password in the tourney lobby. (Very few have the password listest, but some do)  The public freerolls tend to be much larger fields and less money to be made, but there are lots of them. Some payout in Tournament Dollars and can be used towards other Real Money tourneys.  Look under Tourney tab with Play money selected and you will find one freeroll about every 4 hours. There is a registration time usually about and 40 minutes to 1 hour before tourney start time.  These fill up pretty quick. Hope this helps with the question about freerolling.  GL. X

Full Tilt Poker on OPR

June 2009

Full Tilt Poker (FTP) has demanded us to remove all FTP tournaments and player statistics from Official Poker Rankings (OPR) because they suddenly decided that OPR "gives players an unfair advantage" and works "very similar to how a shared hand history database works".

We don't believe OPR gives players an unfair advantage. OPR is a free site available to all players and in our opinion any player should be allowed to use OPR to follow their progress, for stacking, collusion detection, community discussions, competitions and to see how they are doing in comparison to other poker players.

All the data we collect is publicly viewable at the end of each tournament in the tournament lobby. We do not collect hand histories nor do we provide access to any hand history information. OPR has nothing to do with a shared hand history database.

We have proposed Full Tilt Poker different solutions to keep FTP tournaments on OPR and we hope they will reverse their decision and help us clear this misunderstanding soon. But for now we have decided to follow their demands to remove all FTP tournaments on OPR.

Your opinion matters.
We strongly encourage you to forward your opinion about this to support@fulltiltpoker.com

We would also like to hear your comments and feedback. Please forward to ftpfeedback@officialpokerrankings.com
- Please forward a link if you are posting about this on an open forum / message board. Thank you.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Well I had another profitable session at the .05/.10 cash tables.  I have yet to play a tourney on this site but I do see some with potential.  I like bounty tourneys but not rebuys and they have a lot of rebuys.  Very soft tables, with the chance to make some money.  I will move up one level on the tables when I reach $50 BR.  X aka CURIOUSCHIC

Starting bankroll from freeroll:  $7.50

Ending bankroll from freeroll:  $23.09

Investment:  $0

Site Review:  Very similar site, easy to navigate, medium size tournament registration, takes a long time for SNG's to fill, KO tourneys, several cash tables with loose players.

Can't say it is just FT or PS. LOL. I just started playing on BetUS after winning money from our freeroll. I had been getting a few good hands off and on during this session. Pocket pairs had been good to me until this happened. Does this site differ from any other. Judge for yourself. X

I raised a small amount with 44 because everyone folded to me. KK just smooth calls my raise. I put this player on a range of hands from AK-AJ at the most. (Tight Passive) They had been folding a lot and only calling if they had something. Boy was I wrong on my read.

The information in this blog is rumored to be true. Not sure if it is true, but MR B 2 U SON is striking a harsh blow on Gus Hanson right now.

I did a little research and online sources rumors circulating at the moment regarding the true identity of the new high stakes player at full Tilt Poker that goes under the name of "MR B2 U SON". Most of the railbirds and bloggers seem to be convinced that it is in fact David Benyamine that is now playing under a new alias after having left Full Tilt earlier this month.

Rumors also say High stakes cash game specialist David Benyamine is no longer a Full Tilt red pro. For the past couple weeks Benyamine has been playing on Full Tilt rsquo;s site, but his red avatar has been removed and his name is no longer listed on the official homepage with the other pros. While no press release from Full Tilt has been released and Benyamine hasn’t commented, it is rumored that he has made a deal with another poker site. X

Had a great time in this tourney.  Made it to the final table and lost with JJ vs K6 suited.  I maybe should have shoved all in preflop, but the player had me covered and I am sure he would have called.  Congrats to all in the money.  X
