CardRunners was founded by Taylor 'Green Plastic' Caby and Andrew 'Muddywater' Wiggins while fraternity brothers at the University of Illinois in August, 2005. Wiggins and Caby were tremendously successful players in the early days of Ultimate Bet. They introduced innovative teaching techniques with a cash game focus - initially - that propelled them to the largest training site online. They have continually added pros, new games, levels covered, and new approaches to online instruction. CR was the first training site to partner with a playing site, Full Tilt Poker. That partnership has created significant value for members in the newly introduced www.trulyfreepokertraining.com where you can earn your subscription to CardRunners just by playing on FTP (not affecting your MGR or rakeback). They recently merged with Stox Poker, establishing discounts for sign ups and a two-tiered focus with Stox nurturing newer players.
